AI start-up rock stars and GMs Electric Chevy
New AI tech start-ups backed by Microsoft and Amazon, were the new kids on the block rockstars at the recent Viva Technology show in Paris. Relatively unknown CEOs Arthur Mensch of Minstral AI and Dario Amodei of Anthropic were centre stage at the tech show. Mistral AI is only a year old but has raised hundreds of millions and backing from Microsoft. The company develops AI models similar to Open AI and is worth $2 billion. Similarly Amazon has invested over $4 billion in Anthropic.
GMs all-electric vehicle, the Chevy Equinox. The vehicle manufacturer is hoping that the EV version will do as well as its fuel version. This comes as it strives to produce an affordable EV model that can compete with Chinese rivals such as BYD and Nio.
