India and the EU have agreed to finalise a free trade agreement this year after European Commission President Ursula Von Der Leyen met with India Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The largest trade deal of its kind. This comes as Trump plans to impose tariffs on good made in the EU and India.

Is this a sign that the EU is moving away from its reliance on US trade?

It is a strategic alliance as over 6000 European companies have a presence in India.

The EC president said the EU and India have the potential to be one of the defining partnerships of this century. “I want this visit to be the start of this new era. Prime Minister Modi and I share the same view. It is time to take our EU-India Strategic Partnership to the next level.”

This bodes well for the EU and emerging markets in the future.

Nvidia release their figures this week and despite exceeding expected profits, shares have fallen. Investors have been spoilt with the AI boom and are so used to Nvidia’s massive returns, that higher than expected returns is just not good enough.

Nvidia has grown 114% in the last twelve months, and despite investor sentiment, it is still showing massive growth as AI innovation continues to need advanced micro chips, especially Nvidia’s Blackwell chip.

Lower stock prices offer an opportunity to buy good quality stock at lower prices.

The AI industry is expected to grow 500% over the next ten years and Nvidia along with its emerging competitors are set to continue performing well.
