Gold seems unstoppable as it reached a record-breaking price this week, reaching a high of $3,051. This comes after the FED signalled two possible rate cuts, and trade wars continue amidst geopolitical turmoil. Gold thrives in a low interest rate environment, and the Fed’s news of keeping interest rates the same has bolstered the precious metal’s value.
The precious metal is known as a haven for investors during economic turbulence, and it is driven by market uncertainty, a weaker dollar, and geopolitical tensions.
“With trade wars expanding, inflationary pressures persisting, US diplomatic policy evolving, central banks’ buying, and China’s financial markets embracing bullion at an unprecedented scale, the case for higher gold prices has never been more compelling,” deVere CEO, Nigel Green.
During this time of uncertainty, adding gold to a portfolio is a good bet to hedge against inflation and the decline of the dollar.
Nvidia and French Quantum computing start-up Pasqal, have formed a partnership. This joining allows Pasqal’s customers to gain access to more tools to develop quantum applications by connecting to Nvidia’s quantum computing units and cloud platform.
“Our collaboration with NVIDIA will enable us to offer a much-requested interface and programming model for high-performance computing and wider quantum community and ultimately accelerate the development of quantum applications,” said Pasqal CEO Loic Henriet.
Pasqal was founded in 2019 securing over $151 million in funding to date.
Nvidia is constantly innovating to improve the world of AI and quantum computing. There seems no stopping this powerhouse.
