Nintendo to unveil new Switch model by March 2025
Nintendo announced that it will unveil the successor to its popular Switch console within this fiscal year. This announcement follows a projected decline in profit due to lower sales of the current console.
According to a post on X, which cited Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa, the new Switch model will be revealed by the end of the fiscal year in March 2025. However, the company clarified that no specific details about the upcoming console will be shared at the upcoming Nintendo Direct event in June. These statements were made following the release of Nintendo’s financial results for the fourth quarter and full year ending in March 2024.
Earlier in the year, Nintendo revised its sales forecast for the Switch console to 15.5 million units for the fiscal year ending in March. Surpassing expectations, the company sold 15.7 million units of the Switch during that period.
