No Stopping Bitcoin & Vivendi Expands
Bitcoin beat its record high of $100,000 after increasing more than 3% to $106,493. This comes as Trump is pledging to create a friendlier regulatory backdrop for digital assets and backing the idea of a strategic national bitcoin stockpile.
French media conglomerate Vivendi saw a 35% stock price surge after a restructuring allowing the spin-off of three key subsidiaries, namely Canal+, Havas and Louis Hachette Group. The three subsidiaries will trade independently from the beginning of the week. Canal+, a media broadcasting powerhouse, is valued at an estimated €6 billion and about to debut on the London Stock Exchange, while Havas Advertising, valued at €1.78 billion, is set to list on the Dutch Stock Exchange. Louis Hachette Group, valued at €1.1 billion, will trade on the Euronext Growth Paris and aim to grow its publishing and literary portfolio. This is a definite boost for the European economy in general and a great boost to the media sector
